Bound in full contemporary basane, spine with five
ornate nerves, corners dulled, spine ends and edges
rubbed, a good copy however.
Claude Fleury
French priest, church historian and jurist. Abbé Fleury
had a long career as an educator (1672-1705). He was
tutor to the sons of the Prince of Conti, then tutor to the
Count of Vermandois, son of King Louis XIV, and then
sub-teacher to the grandsons of Louis XIV.
