The auction was dedicated to the outstanding ballet master, choreographer, collector and bibliophile Sergey Mikhailovich Lifar (1905-1986). In addition to the selection of books and autographs from the collection of Lifar, Hermitage Fine Art exhibited more than 400 works of art from various thematic sections: Russian painting and graphics, a collection of Azerbaijani artists, the poetry of the Silver Age, Russian literature abroad, items of Russian military history, as well as furniture, silver, porcelain, photography and numismatics. Total sale achieved 538 784,80 € including Buyer's Premium.

Hermitage Fine Art presented over 500 items of Russian art and history of the XVIII - XX centuries on October 27th-29th at its auction in Monte-Carlo Metropole hotel. The auction catalogue included works of Russian art and graphics, engravings and posters, ancient books, autographs, photographs, items of decorative and applied art, as well as items of Russian military history, numismatics. Sales raised a total of 682 322 EUR with fees against a total pre-sale estimate of 1 000 050 EUR.
