Ivan Alekseevich Bunin (1870-1953) was a Russian writer, poet, and translator, and the recipient of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1933. In 1920, he emigrated to France. From 1929 to 1954, Bunin's works were not published in Soviet Russia, but from 1955 onwards, the writer became the most published author of the first wave of Russian emigration in the USSR.
