Petre Otskheli (1907-1937) was a Georgian theatre artist, one of the founders of Georgian Modernism.
He lived and worked in Tbilisi and Moscow, collaborating with the greatest theatre directors

directors of the time. Despite he received wide acclaim, at the age of 30 Otskheli fell victim to
Stalin’s repressions. In 1937 Otskheli was arrested and sentenced to execution by a firing squad
and was declared a member of «counter-revolutionary, Trotskyist and nationalist organisation».
