Faience, overglaze stamp 1) Jeanne d'Arc. Storming of Les Tourelles On May 7, 1429, during the siege of Orléans, troops under the command of Joan of Arc took the English fortification Tourelles, killing about a thousand enemy soldiers, resulting in the next day the siege of Orlean was lifted. 2) Henry IV forgives peasants during the siege of Paris in 1590.
