In a luxuriant red morocco binding. Gold ornamental embossing along the perimeter of the lids, gold-embossed spine. Blue moire endpapers, gold-embossed, three-sided golden edge. Zezzio binder (paper label). Super ex-librises on the lids: double-headed eagle with the symbols of imperial power: a scepter and orb framed by the medallic chain of Andrew Protocletos. On the flyleaf there is a paper bookplate of the Pavlovsk Palace Library and an ex libris of Michel Wittock. Provenance: Michel Wittock (1936-2020) - industrialist, bibliophile, publisher, founder and director of the Wittokian Library in Brussels (1983).
