Infantry of cer’s Saber based on sample of 1855 with the inscription
« For courage », the so-called « Golden weapons, decorated with diamonds » To reward the generals.
In the presented saber, ornaments are made of rhinestones imitating diamonds and emerald. Overall length - 98.5 cm; blade length - 82.4 cm; blade width at the heel - 2.5 cm.
The blade is steel, curved, single-edged, with one wide fuller and short narrow one along the butt in the middle of the blade. On the spine of the blade at the heel there is an inscription from the manufacturer: “Tula 1857”. The hilt consists of a handle with a head and brass gilt guard. The handle is brass, gilded, wrapped in twisted brass wire along transverse grooves. The handle and the upper sleeve of the handle are decorated with oral ornaments. The upper part of the handle is also decorated with a white rhinestone, installed on each side, in the central part it is decorated with a belt of rhinestones around the bow. White rhinestones around the circumference are mounted in the upper part of the head, a large green rhinestone is installed in the center. Engraved inscription «FOR COURAGE.”
