The Sports Club of the Union of Artists (C.S.U.A.) brought together actors, musicians, journalists and entertainment personalities around the practice of sport, frequently organizing sports events and competitions. These events were highly publicized at the time, such as the Grand-Prix cycliste des artistes et journalistes won in 1935 on the Paris-Vernon route by Maurice Goddet (French publisher and journalist), or football and horse riding competitions and tennis tournaments that brought together famous figures of the French artistic scene. The magazine's articles were often written by writers or personalities from the theatre and cinema who were passionate about sport. In these two publications of the magazine, we find, among others, N°17: a text (2 p.), entitled ‘La Renaissance Sportive’ by Frédéric Boutet (French short story writer and novelist), retracing the evolution of the perception of sport in France from the nineteenth century to the beginning of the twentieth century; a retrospective of the events of the month; an article entitled ‘Cycling... 1935’ by Robert Ancelin (French actor-director) and the secretary of the cycling section of the C.S.U.A.
