watercolour and gouache on bone 9.5 × 7.5 cm Executed in 1820 Princess Ekaterina Pavlovna Bagration (1783–1857) was the daughter of Count P. M. Skavronsky and a maid of honour. In 1800, she married Prince P. I. Bagration. She lived apart from her husband in Vienna, where she led an active social life. She later married the English general Caradoc and settled in Paris.
