Aleksei Danilovich Kivshenko (1851–1895) was a prominent 19th-century Russian painter celebrated for his historical scenes, particularly those depicting the Russo-Turkish Wars. Associated with the Peredvizhniki (Wanderers) movement, his highly detailed compositions and dynamic realism also captured hunting, genre, and Caucasus scenes
