Illustrated cover, folded. Limited edition of 300 copies, this one being one of 30 copies not for sale (presumably on pure paper from the Johannot paper mills). 32.5 x 25.5 x 2 cm Good condition. Théodore Agrippa d'Aubigné, born d'Aubigny. French military commander, controversial writer and Baroque poet, best known for Les Tragiques, a heroic poem recounting the persecution suffered by Protestants. Lev Vassilievitch Zack, known as Léon Zack Russian painter who became a naturalised French citizen.
