(1860-1882) ?; silver standard mark ‘84’ and woman’s head in kokoshnik facing left wood, oil 9.2 x 7.3 cm Condition: without restoration, patina on the oklad The composition ‘Coronation of the Mother of God’ which has a Western European iconographic origin, is known in Russia since the end of the 17th century. The image received a special solemn signification in the 18th century during the coronations of Russian empresses.
