In the 1930s he served as an reader in the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, was a member of the Brotherhood of Subdeacons and Ministers at the Church. Participated in the Second World War. After the war he worked for an oil company in Africa. In 1956 he returned to Paris and was a member of the Union of Russian Nobility and the St. Petersburg Association.
