With this coffee table, Herkner excels in the art of inversion. Glass, a fragile and delicate material, usually used for the top, becomes here a hand-blown table leg using a traditional wooden mould. The piece is topped by a metal base that gives the impression of floating on its transparent structure, to which the design has deliberately left all its little imperfections: they are as much the signature of the craftsman as the proof of a unique work.
