Strongly influenced by Miró, Klee and Van Gogh, as well as by the art of children, Corneille’s work is known for its bold colours and use of everyday subjects (such as domestic pets like cats and birds) placed in slightly surreal, often childlike environments. His work is held in thAe collections of museums including the Centre Georges Pompidou and Tate Modern
