1 p. in-8 20 x 16 cm “ My old Florent, thank you for your little note which really made me happy! But for God’s sake this miserable life doesn’t even allow us to do what we want! Doesn’t even let us see the few old friends! You could have given me a little sign when you were in Paris. I hope we’ll make up for it this winter if this miserable life allows us to. I hope that around Christmas I’ll go to the bay, that is to say to Sanary and cheers to the sunshine! Kisses !...” Moïse Kisling, born on 22 January 1891 in Cracow and died on 29 April 1953 in Sanary-sur-Mer, was a French painter of Polish origin, attached to the École de Paris. An art critic and later a radio man, Florent Felsenberg, known as Florent Fels (1891-1977), was a close friend of Kisling, on whom he published a monograph in 1932.
