This encyclopaedic and cartographic treatise on the world’s vineyards, accompanied by a classification of wines, marked the beginning of a scientific approach to oenology. The final page of the volume contains a description of the ‘cannelles-aérifères’ and other instruments, of his own invention, for the decanting and filtration of liquids, along with their prices.
