Hardback, unpaginated (64 pp.), yellow cover with black hot-stamped lettering on the front and back covers, a series of texts illustrated with black-and-white photographs, a stamp and handwritten number in the top right-hand corner of the flyleaf: ‘Art Information Centre 16 Feb. 1974 / A100-1A-1’, the same number noted on the title page. Numbered and signed by the artist in pencil in the colophon: '20 / Eduardo Paolozzi'. Designed, published and printed in an edition of 500 copies, signed and numbered at the Watford School of Art, England, in February 1970. 26.5 x 19.5 x 1.5 cm Good condition. Eduardo Paolozzi A Scottish painter, sculptor and draughtsman, and one of the founders of the Independent Group, a circle that paved the way for the British Pop Art movement of the 1950s. Known for his bold collages and monumental sculptures, which explore the links between technology, industry and culture. Hansjörg Mayer (1943) German printer, publisher and artist, known for his contributions to concrete and visual poetry as well as experimental typographic art. Mayer founded his independent publishing house, ‘edition hansjörg mayer’, in 1964 in Stuttgart. The publishing house quickly became a key hub for concrete poetry, radical typography and artists’ books, publishing over 300 titles, including books, posters, films, records and videos. Since the 1970s, Mayer has also devoted himself to ethnology, publishing numerous works on Tibet, among other subjects. Art and ethnology remain the cornerstones of the publishing house to this day.
