Fading to the wrappers and minor tears to the edges. Venyamin Valerianovich Zavadskiy (pseudonym V. Korsak; 1884–1944) was a writer, participant in the First World War and the Civil War, who emigrated to France. A member of A.M. Remizov’s ‘Obez’yanya palata’ (‘Ape Chamber’, as ‘Egyptian Plenipotentiary’), he was also a Freemason and a member of Russian lodges of the Grand Orient of France.
