She studied design at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and later fine art at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts, where she developed a distinctive painterly language. Working within the field of contemporary figurative painting, Ogasawara creates quiet, atmospheric composition, often depicting interiors, landscapes, or fragmentary figures, rendered in restrained tonal palettes. Situated between figuration and abstraction, her work explores perception, memory, and the psychological resonance of everyday spaces, aligning her practice with broader tendencies in contemporary painting that emphasize stillness, ambiguity, and contemplative viewing. Similar work is exhibited in the Centre Pompidou, Paris.
