Luciano Minguzzi, Italian sculptor trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, where he studied under Giorgio Morandi and Ercole Drei, Luciano Minguzzi quickly gained recognition on the Italian art scene. Awarded several distinctions, including a prize at the Venice Biennale in 1950, he received major public commissions, notably the Fifth Door of the Milan Cathedral and the monumental Door of Good and Evil at St Peter's Basilica. His expressive sculpture often explores themes of war, memory and the human condition.
