He primarily painted landscapes, sometimes incorporating animals, village scenes and floral still lifes. His beautifully executed landscapes are described as vigorous and sun-drenched, and were painted en plein air. Roidot demonstrated a deep understanding of nature, as well as tenacious and thoughtful observations of it. Around 1912, his work was briefly influenced by Fauvism.
