René Sautin was a French painter born in Montargis who was active in the first half of the twentieth century. Having trained in Paris, he produced a body of work including landscapes, genre scenes, and compositions inspired by everyday life. His paintings are characterised by fluid brushwork and luminous colours, reflecting the influence of the French pictorial tradition of the time. He exhibited regularly at Parisian salons, and his works are now held in private collections.
