In 1946, Vladimir Tatlin created the set design for S. Y. Marshak’s play Dvenadtsat mesyatsev [The Twelve Months]
The Twelve Months, originally written as a prose fairy tale in 1942, was adapted into a dramatic play in 1943 for the Moscow Art Theatre. The play premiered in 1945 and was subsequently staged at the Moscow Theatre for Young Spectators (1946) and at the Moscow Art Theatre (1948).
