Rose-Marie is an American operetta composed in 1924. The show was a huge success and set a record for the longest-running Broadway musical of that time. It was soon staged in the United Kingdom and subsequently spread internationally. In Paris, the operetta set another record with 1,250 performances.
The first production of Rose-Marie in the USSR was staged by the Moscow Operetta Theatre on 2 June 1928.
