[“To the deeply respected Alexei Ivanovich Sobolevsky from a grateful author.”] Alexei Ivanovich Sobolevsky (1856-1929) was a Russian and Soviet linguist, paleographer, literary historian, Slavicist, and educator. In a publisher’s paper cover. Good condition. Fold mark, tears on the spine, discoloration of the paper at the edges of the cover. Engraved bookplate by Martin Winkler, designed by A. Kravchenko, on the inside front cover. Provenance: Martin Winkler (1893-1982) – German cultural and art historian, professor, specialist in Old Russian art, member of the German Society for the Study of Eastern Europe.
