Title page and the nine illustrations (eight present) are steel engravings by English engravers after drawings by Russian artists K. Bryullov, M. Vorobyov, G. Chernetsov, and others.
Contemporary half-leather binding; leather spine with faded gilt tooling. Condition: good; rubbing to binding, cracks along endpapers, minor soiling from handling, some staining to lower margins, light foxing, one plate lacking. Ownership inscription dated 1917 and stamp “Z Ksiegozbioru Bohdana Galtsera” on the front free endpaper.
Includes works by A. V. Koltsov, E. P. Rostopchin, P. A. Vyazemsky, N. V. Kukolnik, among others.
