silver plate with engraved dedication: ‘10/VIII/1911 TO FATHER TUCKER RAINIER GRACE ALBERT CAROLINE MONACO 10/VIII/1961’ silver plated metal, mirror, wooden carved frame 54 x 44 cm accompanied with its important wooden case Provenance : Gift to Father J. Francis Tucker (1889 - 1972) from the Princely Family of Monaco on 10 August 1961 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of an event (?). Father J. Francis Tucker, a native of Delawere in the United States, was the Oblate of Saint-François-de-Sales and was appointed by the Holy See of Rome the parish priest of the church of Saint-Charles in Monaco and chaplain to the Prince's Palace. He is said to have played an important role in the meeting of Prince Rainier III and Grace Kelly, the future Princess Grace.
