signed 'AB' (lower right), inscribed and dated in pencil 'Diane 1934' (upper left), extensively inscribed in pencil watercolour, ink and pencil on paper 30 x 23.3 cm executed in 1934 Diane de Poitiers, a ballet by Jacques Ibert, was choreographed by Michel Fokine and produced by Ida Rubinstein’s company at the Grand Opera, Paris in 1934, with sets and costumes designed by Alexandre and Nicholas Benois.
