oklad: silver, chasing, engraving, gilding; hallmarks: master’s mark in Cyrillic ‘S.G.V.’ for Volkov Selivestr Gerasimovich (1880 - 1897); silver mark ‘84’ and the coat of arms of the city of Moscow wood, levkas, tempera 31 x 26 cm Condition: the pictorial layer was probably retouched towards the end of the 19th century and the silver oklad was made at that time. The oklad is covered with a layer of patina, partially cleaned on the lower left corner, some tears on the sides. Nevertheless, it represents a value for collectors.
