Superb exemplar Contemporary red Morocco binding, gilt lace, initials in the centre, smooth decorated spine, handwritten label at the top, interior roulette, gilt edges. Paper label with handwritten number on the spine of each volume (except for vol. 12). Minor foxing (Vol. 12). On the upper cover of each volume is a gilded monogram of Mathilde Bonaparte (1820-1904), daughter of King Jerome, brother of Napoleon I, and Catherine of Württemberg.
