Ferdinand Fedorovich Wintzingerode (Ferdinand von Wintzingerode) (1770-1818) was a Russian cavalry general of German origin, an adjutant general, and a hero of the Patriotic War of 1812, during which he commanded ‘flying’ cavalry units of the Russian army.
Alexander Alexandrovich von Belgard (1770-1816), Major General of the Russian Army. In April 1806, he submitted a proposal to Count Arakcheev for a new type of grape shot, and in 1811, on the eve of the war with Napoleon,
the introduction of a new generation of grape shot shells was finally approved.
