The Russian emperor is shown in the uniform of a general wearing the blue ribbon and star of the Imperial Order of Saint Andrew the First-Called. The French emperor is shown in the uniform of a colonel of the Grenadiers de la Garde-à-Pied. This snuffbox refers to the peace treaty signed by two emperors at Tilsit on 9 July 1807.
