ALESSANDRO MENDINI (1931-2019) & VENINI ‘GUERRIER DE VERRE’, 1996

Blown glass, steel H. 49.5 cm, L. 28.5 cm A special order from the limited edition of 36 Guerrier de Verre was commissioned from the artist for the present owner as part of this rare series. Designed by Alessandro Mendini in collaboration with Venini, this sculptural vase showcase his use of geometric forms and color contrasts. Guerrier de Verre is red with a black interior. Other examples are in the collections of Fondation Cartier, Paris, Venini Museo, Murano, and Alessandro Mendini. PROVENANCE Commissioned from the artist for the present owner
