Stenberg / 1939’ (along the lower edge of the support), with a dedication in Cyrillic ‘Dorogoy Ledi ot Iriny Stenberg / 30/III/81’ (on the reverse of the support) gouache and paster on paper laid down on black paper support 28 x 39.8 cm, 32.3 x 36.1 cm (support) executed in 1939 ‘The Snow Queen’ is a fairy tale play in four acts, written by Evgeny Schwartz in 1938, based on Hans Christian Andersen’s eponymous fairy tale.
