Blown glass, steel and 18k gold H. 49.5 cm, L. 28.5 cm (each) A special order from the limited edition of 99 Soldato di Vetro and 36 Guerrier de Verre, this pair was commissioned from the artist for the present owner as part of this rare series. Designed by Alessandro Mendini in collaboration with Venini, these sculptural vases showcase his use of geometric forms and color contrasts. Soldato di Vetro is coral red with a black interior, while Guerrier de Verre is red with a black interior. Other examples are in the collections of Fondation Cartier, Paris, Venini Museo, Murano, and Alessandro Mendini. PROVENANCE Commissioned from the artist for the present owner
