Hallmarks: assay master’s mark in Cyrillic ‘L.O’ above the date ‘1894’, arms of the city of Moscow ‘St George’, foreign silver marks, master’s mark ‘VH’ (?) Salt cellar: H 2.5 cm, diameter circa 4 cm (each) Spoon L. circa 7 cm (each) total gross weight: circa 190 gr. In a wooden case of House ‘M. Puritz, Odessa’ Menashe Puritz (Falikov) founded in 1832 a jewellery and watch firm in Odessa under the name ‘Gold and Silver Master M. Puritz’. The shop was located in the Pozilin house, on the corner of Rishelievskaya and Deribasovskaya street.
