3 ½ pages large in8. 26,7 x 18 cm In French. Good condition. [This is probably Louise Françoise du Roure, little mistress of the Grand Dauphin, born around 1665 and whose date of death is reported "after 1722" or rather "after 1726" if we judge by this letter]. Interesting letter in particular concerning the health of Mme du Roure: He was not mistaken about the payment of his order for 6000 livres He had it "passed at the moment to M. Bonnier who gave the bill of exchange" which he has the honour to send her herewith "payable to the order of M. de Nigry" as she wished. The amount is 5325 livres, the remainder having been withheld from the Royal Treasury. He continues to urge her to be cured of her illness as soon as possible "because of the unfortunate consequences that may result" if she neglects it any longer. He will always be delighted to be good for her. ln fine: Autograph receipt signed "Caumont La Force Du Roure" for the sum of 5325 livres, from M. de Nigry. Antoine-Gaston de Roquelaure, marquis then 2ᵉ and last duke of Roquelaure. French aristocrat and military officer. Marshal of France.
