In good condition. Wear on the binding, pasted title page along the spine, pre-revolutionary paper label with number on the spine, library and ownership's stamps on the title page, reverse of the title page, and several other pages, children's drawings on a free endpaper. The edition was printed at the translator's expense. The authorship was mistakenly attributed to S. Vichar de Saint-Real. Eustache Le Noble (1643-1711) was a French writer; one of the most translated authors in Russia during an era scarce in translations, which indicated high recognition from the reading public.
