signed in Cyrillic and dated ‘K Lebedev 1907’ (upper right) watercolour, pencil and whitewash on paper on board 47 x 36cm Klavdi Lebedev was a member of the artist group Peredvizhniki (the Wanderers). He studied at the Stroganov Moscow State Academy of Arts and Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture.
