Vassiliev has designed more than 100 theatrical productions in 25 countries around the world, creating costumes and sets for operas, ballets and dramatic productions. He collaborated with the National Theatre (London), Scottish Ballet (Glasgow), Ballet Flanders (Brussels), with ballet companies in Japan, the USA and Chile. In 2021 he was invited to the Paris Opera House to execute costumes and props based on sketches by Nikolai Roerich for a revival of Vaslav Nijinsky’s ballet ‘The Sacred Spring’.
