An account of a journey through the Tatras, the mountainous region between Poland and the former Czechoslovakia.
"The row of high mountains begins, with Krivan rising from a broad plateau to a height of 2,496m. Legend has it that when God sent an angel to baptise the mountains, the Krivan protested, saying that it had not been given a name even though it had been born first. To punish his pride, the envoy from heaven bowed his head for ever".
Husta Libuse
Czechoslovak writer.
