ROBBE & BERKING GLASS AND SILVER CAVIAR SET ON STAND

silver lid decorated with a carved sturgeon goldsmith’s hallmark ‘R&B’ used after 1964, ‘crescent and crown’ for Germany, silver mark ‘925’ height 20 cm, diameter 20 cm ROBBE & BERKING was founded by German silversmith Nicolaus Christoph Robbe in 1874 in Flensburg. His small workshop produced silver cutlery and table accessories, commissioned by jewellers from the Flensburgregion. His son-in-law, Robert Berking, joined him in 1897.
