1 CHÂTEAU MOUTON ROTHSCHILD PAUILLAC 1989 75cl

Haute épaule High shoulder Label Artist: GEORG BASELITZ (B. 1938) The painting of the German artist Hans Georg Kern, who borrowed the pseudonym Baselitz from his hometown, is characterized by an iconoclastic freedom, by the provocative force of certain themes, and especially by the paintings with reversed motifs. His upside-down rams for Mouton Rothschild 1989 associate the traditional Mouton emblem with the shocking event of that year, the fall of the Berlin Wall. «Drüben sein jetzt hier» writes the painter on the label: «The other side is now home». Provenance: Private wine cellar from a Villa in the South of France (preserved in the cellar with regulated hydrometry and temperature)
