Bookplate of the Saxe-Coburg-Gotha family, the ruling dynasty of Belgium and Great Britain, on the front flyleaf. Some of the illustrations were created by the artist Elena Samokish-Sudkovskaya. The collection contains rich visual material: photos of guests, phototypes from old engravings and manuscripts, illustrations by prominent artists in A. Benois, V. Vasnetsov, V. Makovsky, I. Repin, V. Serov, etc. In 1914, at the international exhibition of printing and graphics in Leipzig, the publication was called a masterpiece of book art. The first volume of the publication contains a detailed history of the Royal wedding tradition and an overview of the coronations of all Russian monarchs.
