A graduated in Medicine, he has devoted himself exclusively to painting since 1949. In 1953, in Rome, at the Obelisco Gallery, he held his first solo exhibition and in the same year he exhibited in Paris and Milan. Since 1954 he has participated in numerous exhibitions in the most important Italian and foreign galleries. In 1956 he was invited to the XXVII edition of the Venice Biennale, and also showed at the Royal Academy Exhibition in London, in 1957 at La Permanente in Milan and in 1959 at the Rome Quadriennale. He has also shown at major international fairs including Art Basel.
