Contents: the Russian land before the arrival of Rurik in Novgorod; the ‘per article’ list of Embassy voyage of Ilya Danilovich Miloslavsky and the deacon Leontius Lazorevsky to Constantinople in the year 7150; the ‘per article’ list of arrival and staying in Russia of the British Ambassador Giles (Elizar) Fletcher. Added part: the title and preface to the captioned work of G. Fletcher ‘About the Russian state’ composed by the society of Russian history and antiquities (M., 1848). This edition was confiscated by the censors upon the order of Nicholas I. No more than 20 copies still exist. The copy of D.V. Ulyaninsky was only a clipping from the ‘Readings’.
