Victor Palmov (Ukrainian: Вiктор Никандрович Пальмов) (1888–1929) was a Ukrainian-Russian painter and avant-garde artist (Futurist and Neo-primitivist) from the David Burliuk circle. The painting was executed in 1920-1921 when he travelled to Japan along with David Burlik.
