Nouveau dictionnaire universel des synonymes de la langue Française / M.F Guizot. - 3-e édition revue et corrigée avec soin: 2 tomes. Paris: chez Aimé Payen, libraire, 1833. T. 480 p.; T. 2. 500 p.; 24x13 cm. Provenance: the Library of San-Donato is associated with the names of three representatives of the Demidov family, each of whom left his traces on the books of the library. Its core was the library of Pavel Nikolayevich Demidov (1798-1841). After his death, the books were inherited first by his brother Anatoly Nikolaevich (1812-1870), who took them to the Italian estate of San-Donato; and then by the direct heir, son-Pavel Pavlovich (1839-1885), who obtained an official right to bear the title of Prince of San-Donato in Russia. It seems that oval stamp with the wording ‘Bibliotheque de San Donato’ appeared on the books just that time.
