Russian naval of cer’s award Saber, with lanyard, with the inscription « For Bravery », the badge of Order of St. George and St. Anna IV degree (double award).
Overall length - 99 cm; blade length - 83.3 cm;
blade width at the heel - 2.43 cm.
The blade is steel, straight, single-edged, with one broad fuller. The blade is decorated with an etched oral ornament on the outside; a commemorative inscription: “FOR TAKING PLEVEN V’B 10 XII 1877”. The outside of the blade is decorated with a oral ornament depicting a warrior on a horse; an etched monogram of the Emperor of Russia Alexander II - “A II” under the imperial crown. The hilt consists of a handle and a brass, gilded guard. On the side arms there is an engraved inscription “FOR COURAGE”. The badge of Order of St. George is mounted for wearing the award weapon. All-metal sheaths (from European weapons). Leather lanyard for cavalry saber. The saber presented is not a statutory model, it is a weapon assembled from original and non-original parts of Russian and European wea- pons from different periods, with an original European blade decorated with inscriptions in a later period.
